Born and educated in England,
Paul attended the very exclusive Sparsholt College. After work experience in
Britain, he was employed by Diamond Shamrock Gasoline Company in Texas to be the
gamekeeper of their 20,000 plus acre hunting preserve which was run along
British lines.
Moving to Virginia, Paul ran a very exclusive hunting preserve for several years until its close. Choosing to remain in Virginia, Paul continued to train Cockers developing a loyal following.
In 1995 he met Vicky and the course of his life changed from Virginia to California and then led to North Dakota, where Glencoe Farm & the Kennels were established.
Born in Illinois, Mike
married and moved to a Virginia Thoroubred Horse Farm. It was noted that several
expensive horses were lost each year breaking their legs in ground hog holes.
Mike became acquainted with Paul Mc Gagh who was employed to exterminate
groundhogs by a unique technique of using Fox Terriers.
Mike's friendship with Paul expanded into the hunting dogs which Mike had used and loved in his rural Illinois. Mike began by training with Paul, assisting in gunning and planting birds. He now trains our started puppies and first year dogs. Mike has trained his own dog to a field trial championship (winning the gunner's Award and Certificate of Merit) as well as running 3 other dogs in our last English Cocker Championship.
Vicky is in charge of the health
and maintenance of the dogs. She also heads up the business matters involved
with the kennel.
